Chapter 2 Recap

An individual's reputation is the most valuable item that one "holds." Although it is intangible, it can be measured. It is measured everyday through our actions and words which reveal who we truly are. In the online world, we present our own personal brand through our actions in the physical and electronic world. Our personal brand helps differentiate ourselves from others in an assortment of ways. Our own unique characteristics begin to separate ourselves, but our reputation is what makes us unique.  For an individual to find their personal brand they can follow nine steps. The first step is to understand their own target audience or in other words, who they want to work for or connect with. This step helps an individual to understand their own strengths that they can bring to the table. The next step is one of the most important and it is determining your purpose. Action without purpose is ultimately worthless, and this also goes with your personal brand. An individual...

A Day in the Life

We are in our second week of the 22-23 school year and I have started to get in the routine of school again. One of my favorite sayings for routines is, "the best routine is the one you can stick to." It will not matter if you find a routine where you are only productive 2 out of the 7 days of the week. Routines you can consistently stick to will trump others that make you productive only a fraction of the week. I am excited to share my own routine for my average Tuesday. To begin the day, I wake up around 5:45 A.M. to get ready for the basketball team's morning workout. We will get to Dial-Roberson stadium around 6:15 A.M. and then get our workout started. Around 8 A.M, we will have finished our workout and my roommate and I will head back to our dorm. After cleaning up, we will head to the Macintosh Diner to have a few breakfast omelets to start the day. My first class is principles of social media with Dr. Agozina where we learn the key uses of several social platforms...

Chapter 1 Recap

It always leaves me perplexed to see just how much social media has changed this world. It has not changed the world in a slow and gradual way, but rather in one of the most rampant of ways. From airlines needing 68 years to muster up a following of 50 million users to Pokemon Go only needing 19 days, the future is in social media. It is the most accessible tool in this world and is able to be used in an infinite number of ways. Social media is capable of being able to connect relatives and business partners across the globe in a matter of seconds. Social media use is projected to double from 2017's count of 2.73 billion users to a grand number of 5.85 billion users in 2027. The world will only grow and adapt to the everyday use of social media, pushing this tool into the category of necessities.  This tool can be used by companies to boost their products with the public. The creativity in brands in terms of how they use social media is a key factor why some stay afloat. For Dorito...

Welcome to the introduction to this blog! My name is Max McAllister and I am a sophomore at Ohio Northern University. My hometown resides in Nashville, Tennessee, which is only a short 7 hours away from here. I currently am involved with the Men's basketball team and hope to join a few clubs this year as well. I am excited to share my writing talents with you today as well as my daily experiences at this university. This previous week has been my first week back on the tundra. I arrived on Saturday, August 20 and spent most of the weekend unpacking and preparing for the first week of school. Once I was finished with my dorm, I had time to catch up with everyone about their summers. Although we have been away from this university for 3 months, it has only felt like it has been a week or two. Speaking of summer, it is only right I have a summer recap to bring you up to speed in my life. This summer was mainly composed of working out, playing basketball, working at subway, and hanging...
