Chapter 4 Recap

This week is all about Facebook and how to use it effectively. Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg in February 2004. It now has over two billion users on the platform which makes this an important resource for businesses. The first step to utilize Facebook is to create a profile on the platform. Similar to LinkedIn, the profile picture is one of the most important features of your profile. This can help increase the amount of people who see your profile. A company must make sure to convey their values and mission through their image. Once finished finding the best photo, companies should add a brief description of what their purpose is. They can finish their profile by adding key information such as contact numbers, locations, and hours.

Business owners should also get used to using Facebook's many business features. One key feature is Meta Business Suite which is a place where companies can see an overview of their analytics. It offers tools such as the ability to create ads, posts and stories, and view insights. These all are key tools that businesses can use to become more efficient.

The important part after making a profile is to gain an audience for it. A company should begin by inviting friends, family, coworkers, and employees to follow the page. Another good idea is to connect with other small companies around your area in order to collaborate with them. Creating and posting on Facebook will be more effective if this audience is already built. Some guidelines to stick to when creating posts is to keep it short. Companies should stay away from posts that are longer than one-hundred and forty characters. This will be more user friendly for users checking out your profile.

You now have all the tips to create a Facebook page for your company. Facebook will always be a great resource to use to grow your company, so the only question I have for you is why wait any longer?
